What is Ina's therapeutic style?

Ina’s therapeutic style is natural and practical.

Ina is a low-key kind of a psychologist/ life coach/ therapist. My approach is often described by clients as intuitive, practical, and sometimes even spiritual. I draw on philosophies from mindfulness, Mindfulness cognitive behaviour therapy, positive psychology, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, solution-focused, basically evidence-based practices.

How Ina helps?

Ina believes that everyone has a unique set of gifts. She will work with you to discover your personal strengths, to identify your values and to define your version of a meaningful life. She is passionate about teaching people to live more mindfully – when you’re grounded, calm and self-aware, it’s easier to connect with your sense of purpose and your sense of self. Ina is passionate about Mindfulness Meditation.

How does therapy work?

The objective of my work is to help you create your own version of a satisfying, enjoyable and gratifying life. I’ll help you to understand your values and strengths, clarify your direction, create a clear vision, cultivate a positive mindset and we’ll work together to develop your sense of self-belief.  My work is also helping you to alter thoughts, feelings and behaviours that may be interfering with your daily functioning and lifestyle.

The first session is between one hour and an hour and a half.  Psychological tests that provide greater insight into your thought processes and feelings may be used.

People often asked; Is therapy not just chatting?

I have a low-key style, I  make you feel comfortable,  I am easy to get along with even if we do therapy by zoom or by phone.

We’ll set some tangible goals and action steps that will help you to achieve your vision. For many people, change takes time and I respect that you’ll want to work at your own pace.

I may challenge you (gently) from time to time. I’ll listen and empathise, but I’ll also help you to understand what gets in your way. My aim is to create a space where you feel completely supported and understood, and one where you can start to imagine (and begin to create) a life that is more satisfying, It’s like an adventure.

How will I know if you’re the right therapist for me?

Well you wont know till we start. The most important factor is the relationship between the therapist and the client, we feel some sense of connection with one another. I can’t stress enough that you as a client need to feel comfortable within the setting, Don’t forget I work for you, so if you don’t feel the therapy is not working out for you please let me know. At any moment you can cancel the therapy session.

I have never done zoom sessions or tele health Is it as effective as face-to-face coaching?

I was sceptical at first too, but a Zoom session is as effective as an in-person session. In some cases, it could be a better model for therapy. It is in the comfort of your home, its time-efficient and it’s very personal.

If you’re still in doubt, give it a try. You might be surprised.

How soon can I see you?

Sometimes appointments are booked out a couple of weeks in advance. If you feel a sense of urgency, I’ll do my best to accommodate you.
